Princess Diana by Cherry Gilchrist

Diana was tragic princess.
She helped many people but she was not necessarily happy.

Diana Spencer was born in July 1961. The Spencers are very old English family.
They have been friends of the Royal Family for hundreds of years.
When Diana was student, she enjoyed her lessons, involved volunteer work and she worked at the Young England School for little children. She had a lot of friends.

In February 1981, the news finally came out that Prince Charles was getting married to Diana. Charles was taking a long time to choose a wife. He was already32. He was 12 years older than her.
People in Britain liked Diana soon because she was pretty and beautiful. They began to look forward to a fairy-tale wedding.

Diana was a busy princess. She seemed to have the perfect life, but inside she was in trouble. Reporters photographed her everywhere and Charles was not really interest in her. Diana’s new job in the Royal Family was very difficult. Diana was getting ill. At length she tried to kill herself.

Diana’s funnel was in September 1997. She died of traffic accident. The paparazzi were following Diana and her new boyfriend. Many people were very sad.

She was helping other people, but she needed help herself.
