The Beginning of Everything Else by Jennifer Baker

Reviewed by SEKI Nanako.
This book is a level 3 reader, and story is school life.
This book is written based on the television series “Dawson’s Creek”.

The characters in this book are Dawson, Joey, Pacey, and Jen. They are student at Capeside High School, and made friends. They have the same problems. For example, love, friend, home environment, and school life.
Dawson and Joey had been friends all their lives. They were best friend, but Joey was losing Dawson’s friendship when Jen moved in the little Massachusetts town of Capeside. Dawson fell in love with Jen, and Joey noticed that. Joey was very sad because she fell in love with Dawson. He asked her to cooperate to associate with Jen. Joey couldn’t convey her feelings to him well. She didn’t want to see his sad face, so she cooperated in him. He could associate with Jen.
Pacey loved Tamara, his English teacher, but she didn’t love him. She flirted with him.
They have various problems another. They have complicated feelings. Being fifteen is very difficult.

There is sequel to this book. I want to read sequel.

Nanako,
Nice work on this review. I am glad that you enjoyed the book. You have given a good description of the relations between characters in the story. I think it is a good idea to read the sequel to find out more. If you get a chance, it may also be fun to watch the TV show.
Good work.
