The Mark of Zorro by Johnston McCulley

This story takes place in California when owned by Spain, so characters sometimes use Spanish. A governor in San Francisco looked after it.

Zorro was an infamous thief but the truth was different. He was a champion of justice. He always helped the weak and punishes the strong.
The main character, Don Diego Vega came from a great family. He was handsome but he was not interesting in winning the love of women and fighting. He wanted to marry Lolita Pulido. Her parents were glad that but she did not like him. She loved Zorro because she was often helped by him.
Captain Ramon proposed to Lolita, too. He was the commandant of the soldiers. He tried to get her by force. However he could not that because Zorro helped her. He always could not catch Zorro.
Captain Ramon was angry. He appealed to the Governor of California for arrest Pulido family. Lolita and her family were arrested.
Zorro made an ally of 26 caballeros who agreed to his view. They rose up to stop governor’s bad things. They rescued Pulido family. Zorro killed Captain Ramon in a fair fight.
Finally, Pulido family and Zorro go free. Vega family promise governor to take care of this town. Zorro took off his mask in front of people. He was Don Diego. Lolita was happy and surprised. She loved Zorro and Diego.

Zorro wears black mask with two under the sombrero and drew on a long dark cloak. People call him Mark of Zorro because he cuts enemies’ face with a sharp like the letter Z. Zorro is very famous character. He was appearing in the movie, TV shows and cartoons.
