Shifting into Overdrive by C. J. Anders

Reviewed by SEKI Nanako.
This book is a level 3 reader, and the third series. Story is school life.
This book is written based on the television series “Dawson’s Creek”.

The new characters in this book are Courtney and Jen’s friends. Courtney is Jen’s cousin and she lives in New York. Jen’s friends are Billy, Danny, Amy, Tucker, and Miranda. They also live in New York.
Joey and Jen went to New York to attend Courtney’s sixteenth birthday party. Joey met many Jen’s friends there. However, she could not enjoy the party because some of Jen’s friends are horrible. Also, Dawson and Pacey followed Joey to New York. They met Joey and Jen again there. The four teenagers are best friends.
Pacey and his family do not get along with each other because they did not understand him. However, there is an occurrence that they were surprised to hear. Dawson, Joey, Pacey, and Jen met an elderly woman on the way home. The woman was embarrassed because her car had broken down. The four teenagers helped her. Pacey’s family praised Pacey for his good behavior.

Dawson and Joey always have different feelings. They fell in love with each other, but they cannot become obedient their true feelings. I want them to become obedient.
I like “Dawson’s Creek” very much. I want to read four series of this book and watch a drama on television.
